We all worry about Internet security. Yet, your records are actually safer on Property Master™ than they are on your own computer. Why?

1. We use TLS/SSL technology so your data is encrypted. Even if someone somehow intercepted your records, they could not read them. Nobody has ever successfully broken a 128-bit TLS key. You know your data is encrypted because the web site address begins with “https”; the “s” stands for “secure.”

2. You have a unique user name and password for accessing your records. It is up to you if you want to give this information to anyone else. Nobody can access your data without a user name and password you provide.

3. You are the only user for your account who can create other users.

4. You can create two kind of users; Power Users and Regular Users. Power Users can edit anything except Users or Subscriptions. Regular Users cannot change any records at all.

5. Another option is to create groups of users who can only see a limited group of your managed properties with Sub-Subscriptions. This feature is usually used by professional Property Managers who want to give their Owners access to details about their own properties.

6. If you leave your computer logged on to Property Master™, the program will time out within 20 minutes.

7. Every change you make is stored on two computer hard drives at the same time. Even if one hard drive fails, the other will retain your changes.

8. The entire system is backed up, and the backup tape moved to a completely separate building, every 24 hours. Just in case!

9. Our computer room has security doors and a fire-suppression system. Nobody can get in without a passcard.

10. We will never share your information with anyone – for any reason, with or without compensation – unless we are forced to do so by government-issued subpoena. It hasn’t happened yet!
